CLEVELAND: Henry Eaton, cofounder and retired chairman and CEO of Midwest firm Dix & Eaton, died on Saturday, February 8 at his home in Beachwood, Ohio at the age of 77. Eaton was particularly well known for his work in corporate positioning, crisis communications, and issues management. He founded the agency in 1952 with John C. Dix, and in 1999, sold the company to its employees and formed consulting firm The Eaton Group. Throughout his career, Eaton served on the board of trustees of Playhouse Square Center and the board of directors of the Greater Cleveland Growth Association. The family suggests contributions to the Playhouse Square Foundation or the Cleveland Orchestra.
